The Next U.S. President Has Been Decided 

Many Catholics are rejoicing and breathing a sigh of relief that Donald J. Trump has been elected the 47th president of the United States. It seems an appropriate moment to offer a heartfelt congratulations to President Trump and his Vice-President–elect, James D. Vance, a convert to Catholicism.   

Numerous Catholic faithful have lifted up their heartfelt prayers to God that we would not have crypto–Marxists occupying the White House as President and Vice-President. In fact, the parish where I regularly attend Mass had been praying for this intention after each daily Mass for well over a month now.

Christ Is King! 

However, we still face an arduous road, because our goal as faithful Catholics should be nothing less than the public proclamation by our beloved nation that “Christ is King.” We must valiantly strive to promote the social and universal Kingship of Jesus Christ in our own private spheres of influence and pray that it will be acknowledged in all public sectors as well. 

“The Long March” – A Strategy of Communists 

When Mao Zedong’s Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was nearly defeated by Chang Kai-shek in 1934, Mao retreated his forces westward into the distant rural provinces. This is known as “The Long March.” Mao used the time it brought him to patiently consolidate his forces, gather strength, and recruit new members. He then attacked again when Chang’s Nationalists were fighting the Japanese during World War II.[1] This lesson of history shows that Communists – like other enemies of the Church, including Freemasons (e.g., Alta Vendita[2]) – will wait patiently to achieve their ends.  

Communism’s international shift from a Marxist economic, political, and violent armed revolution to a Cultural Marxist Revolution represents such a “Long March.” Its roots lay in the Frankfurt School and it has been relentlessly at work within the United States for many decades.  

Consider the following. Of the 45 goals of Communism read on the US House floor in 1963[3], there were included these:

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind.
17. Get control of the schools … Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests …
20. Infiltrate the press …
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
36./37. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions/big business.
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession …
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents …

Complete and Despotic Control

Every key aspect of life is covered by those goals. The formation of children is especially critical. Corruption of morals is perhaps the worst. Essentially, achievement of the goals would mean complete mind control by the Communists.

1963 would have been about the middle of the Cold War between the US and the USSR, and near the beginning of Vatican II. The spread of atheistic Communism was the worst problem of that time. Ironically, in order to secure the participation of the Russian Orthodox, Pope John XXIII agreed to suppress any official condemnation of Communism at the Council.[4]

How disastrous for subsequent generations that the Consecration of Russia was not done at that time, nor was the Third Secret of Fatima released. As the Church goes, so goes the world.   

At the time, Communism was just the latest in a long line of revolutionary movements, starting with Satan and his “I will not serve.” Now, the “alphabet soup” people are living by the satanic creed, “Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law.” They have been emboldened by persons in positions of authority who are either complicit, or unwilling to do anything about it – “It is forbidden to forbid.” Politicians have figured out how to stay in power by exchanging votes for approval of every kind of vice or degeneracy. 

Even the resounding win by Trump and Vance on November 5 seemed to come at a price. The Republican Party got rid of the pro-life plank out of the platform, and Vance softened his position on abortion and IVF to match those of Trump, who had also backed off from his previous positions. Melania Trump recently published a book in which she said: “A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.” She even held a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans (LGBTQ+ supporters) at Trump Tower in New York during the 2024 campaign. 

The Inspired and Inerrant Word of God 

St. Paul could see where this was all headed. In 2 Thessalonians, Chapter 2 (NRSV-CE[5]), he said:

“Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion [apostasy] comes first and the lawless one [antichrist] is revealed … The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned.”

Fortunately, God gives everyone the grace to know the basic truths if they desire to know them.  In this time of confusion, however, a burning desire to know the truth is required in order to not be deceived. Knowing what the enemy is up to will help in this regard, since: “Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) 

A Catholic Restoration 

Much still needs to change. We must work hard and pray even harder that institutionalized evils in our nation be defeated. For example, will the new administration do anything against any of the following? 

• The undermining of a true justice system. Even the undermining of the U.S. Constitution, which of course does not even mention the Triune God or Jesus Christ. 

• Ending the government’s irregular war on its own people, continuously and steadily limiting and stripping the populace of their basic freedoms. 

• Eliminating the “shadow government” also known as the ‘Deep State,’ curb government corruption, enact major election reforms, and effectively ‘drain the swamp’.  

• Cease involving our nation in endless wars throughout the world which serve to enrich the military–industrial complex and international elites. 

• The manipulation – or even fabrication – of national crises to steadily increase government control over all facets of life. 

Will the new administration be willing to: 

• Seek an end to the great crime of abortion, which truly is a national sacrifice offered upon a satanic altar to the powers of darkness? 

• Seek an end to no-fault divorce, which is destroying Marriage and Family?  

• Proclaim that Jesus Christ is King of every private, social, and public institution?  

(This is but a partial list. I know, dear reader, that you could substantially expand upon it.) 

The Solution We Really Need   

Yes, this week brought some slight relief to our beleaguered nation. However, let us not deceive ourselves into thinking that all is well or will get markedly better. No politician will restore God’s right order. No political or economic program will stem the tide of cultural Marxism. No military intervention will end the threat of global Communism and a new world order. In fact, there is no human solution. We must turn to God. 

Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. We must abide by His chosen means. God wills that we be devoted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and has decreed that – at this point in history – only She can help us. The errors of Russia will only be undone by Our Lady at Fatima. Let us therefore turn to Her, the Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of All Graces, heed Her Message at Fatima, obey Her requests, and implore Her aid in this dark hour.  

O Holy Virgin Mary, Who destroys all heresies, pray for us!
