On Friday the 6th of August, His Excellency, Bishop Victor Phalana announced in a letter that all Parishes in the diocese of Klerksdorp would be consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary on the 15th of August. He also announced the Consecration of the Diocese of Klerksdorp to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary on the 22nd of August.
